WHAT THE ASIA-PACIFIC ALLIANCE AGAINST CHINA SHOULD DO
by Jose Rizal M. Reyes / February 4, 2016
The times are getting more interesting. Instead of cowering in fear, we should cheerfully welcome the challenge and embrace it.
The Philippines and other allies in the region should provide the strongest possible support and complement the US in those areas where it is weak.
Indeed, the time calls for the Asia-Pacific alliance to formulate a joint strategy and joint tactical operations for present and future use.
It is not a bad idea to establish a sort of an ad hoc committee that could be converted into a Joint Command in an instant if needed.
The conceptualization and planning should not be limited to the military sphere alone. Instead, all aspects of life should be covered including social, political, economic, diplomatic and scientific spheres.
Anything that would contribute to the victory of the Alliance if war breaks out should be adopted. And anything that would weaken the chances of the Alliance in case of war should be rejected.
Victory must be secured before war breaks out.
