In writing this poem, I did not intend it to be a sonnet. And though I ended writing a 14 line poem, I did not want it be regarded as a sonnet but as a mere quatorzain. The reason for this is that my original 2000–sonnet quota has been exhausted and I did not want to go beyond the line. But recently, after deciding to undertake my Ten Thousand Sonnets and One poetry writing project, I decided to adopt this poem as first of the 10,000 series.
